Northwest: 5.5

Honolua Bay looks calm this morning, but it’s already very windy. The surface is choppy from the wind, though the water looks clear overall. If we get more rain, conditions could quickly become murky. Kapalua Bay has elevated surf today, making snorkeling conditions a bit rougher and reducing visibility. Winds may increase at times, creating more surface chop, especially later this afternoon. We’ll see a mix of sunshine and clouds, with a chance of additional rain throughout the day.

Ka’anapali: 6.0

Kahekili Beach Park looks the calmest this morning, but conditions may get rougher in the afternoon as winds pick up. At Black Rock, the water is fairly calm, but visibility remains lower due to occasional waves stirring up sand. Conditions may clear up this afternoon, and the area should offer good wind protection later in the day. Currents can be strong in deeper water, so use caution. We’ll see a mix of clouds and sunshine today, with possible rain showers.

South Shore: 4.5

Kamaole I, II, III, and Ulua Beach look the calmest this morning, though there won’t be much beach available as the tide comes in. The tide will recede later this afternoon. Farther south in Wailea and Makena, a larger shore break is present, so use caution when getting in and out of the water. Trade winds are light today, though currents may still be stronger in deeper areas. We should see a mix of sunshine and clouds today, with possible rain showers throughout the day.
