Northwest: 6.0

Waves aren’t as big as predicted, but hazards remain. Kapalua Bay is mostly calm, and innermost Honolua Bay has a stretch of calmer water, though it gets rough near the point with surging shore break. Strong currents, gusty winds, and possible showers. Surf could still pick up, so check conditions as you go.

Ka’anapali: 8.5

The south face of Black Rock and Kahekili are looking clear this morning with plenty of sunshine. A surf advisory remains in place, while waves aren’t always huge, they can be at times. Always assess conditions before heading out. Be mindful of large waves and strong currents near the tip of Black Rock, as well as strong currents in deeper waters at Kahekili Beach. Winds are expected to pick up throughout the day. Stay safe and enjoy your beach day.

South Shore: 7.5

Ulua Beach is looking nice this morning, with mostly small waves and plenty of sunshine expected throughout the day. Winds are likely to pick up by late morning, creating choppy waves that may reduce visibility and bring some cloud cover. Morning conditions are best under these circumstances. The forecast also indicates that waves will likely increase as the day goes on. Additionally, be sure to check for posted signs regarding high bacteria levels at Kihei beaches.
