    We get you #TURTLEREADY

It’s a sunny morning on Maui with light winds to It’s a sunny morning on Maui with light winds to start the day. A High Surf Warning remains in effect for south-facing shores, and coastal flooding is possible in low-lying areas during this afternoon’s high tide due to elevated surf and King Tides. Be aware of brown, murky water from recent rains, and avoid swimming or snorkeling in these conditions. Check the snapshots below for more details.

Northwest: 3.5

Conditions are too rough today for snorkeling. Inside Kapalua Bay, waves are rolling in and visibility will be poor due to sand stirred up in the water. Recent rainfall is causing runoff into Honolua Bay, resulting in murky water. Always avoid brown or murky water. Napili Bay has elevated wave action and stronger currents, making snorkeling unsafe for most visitors today. We'll have mostly sunny skies with stronger afternoon trade winds.

Ka’anapali: 0.0

Kahekili Beach is experiencing consistent waves along the shoreline and strong currents, making conditions unsafe for snorkeling for today. Currents are also very strong around Black Rock, especially near the point and in deeper water. Afternoon wind gusts could reach 20 mph or higher in exposed areas. We’ll have plenty of sunshine today, but use caution if you head to the beach due to rough ocean conditions.

South Shore: 0.0

The south shore zone is experiencing very rough and unsettled waters this morning. A High Surf Warning is in effect. Dangerous ocean conditions and large waves are affecting most beaches, and surf is expected to remain elevated throughout the day. Kamaole Beach Park I appears to have the smallest surf in the area, though it's always a good idea to check with lifeguards before entering the water. Expect plenty of sunshine today, with trade winds picking up this afternoon.
