    We get you #TURTLEREADY

Snorkeling around Maui has improved. Kaʻanapali a Snorkeling around Maui has improved. Kaʻanapali and the South Shore are the calmest, while the more wind-protected bays of the Northwest are also looking good. Breezy winds will continue and may shift throughout the day, which could change conditions a few times. There are still some small waves in the mix, and surf may begin picking up later today.

Of course, we all know to keep our distance from turtles and other wildlife, while avoiding waves and any murky water. Have a wonderful day!

Northwest: 7.0

Strong winds are creating extremely hazardous conditions outside of the bays. Kapalua Bay and most of Honolua Bay are looking calm, though currents remain strong out near the points and there are some waves along the more open ocean exposed shoreline. Mostly sunny skies are expected, though isolated showers remain possible. Always mālama ʻāina, tread lightly, and pick up any rubbish.

Ka'anapali: 8.5

The surf is looking pretty small, though waves could begin picking up later. The south face of Black Rock is offering excellent wind protection along with clear water, though currents remain very strong near and beyond the point. Kahekili is more exposed to the wind, it will probably become pretty rough off and on as winds shift throughout the day. Mostly sunny skies are expected, with clouds possible later.

South Shore: 8.0

Sunshine, lighter winds, and small waves are making for beautiful beach weather this morning. Kamaole Beaches, Ulua Beach, and Makena Landing are all looking calm early. There may still be patches of murky water to watch for and avoid, and winds are expected to increase later this afternoon, likely making conditions rougher. Surf may also begin building again later in the day.
