It’s a full Maui Wowie morning with 8.5 scores across the board. Sunshine and clear water are making for a beautiful start, though it’s already windy in the northwest and breezy conditions are expected later elsewhere. Enjoy the beauty and please stay aware as things shift.
Strong winds are blowing through, but ocean conditions inside the bays are really nice. Honolua and Kapalua Bays are especially calm, with small waves and clear visibility. As always, avoid swimming too far out as currents are extremely strong near and beyond the points. Skies are mostly sunny with a slight chance of clouds.
*Honolua Bay temporarily has no restroom facilities. Do not leave waste in this area.
Ka’anapali: 8.5
An absolutely gorgeous morning with sunshine and light wind. Kahekili Beach has incredible snorkeling conditions, with clear water and small surf. The south face of Black Rock also looks fantastic, offering wind protection and a calm area, though currents are strong near and beyond the point. Winds are expected to strengthen later, which could cause some rough water.
South Shore: 8.5
It’s a beautiful beach day with sunshine, light wind, and mostly small waves. Kamaole Beaches, Ulua Beach, Wailea Beach, and Makena Landing are all looking excellent this morning. Some areas may see slightly bigger waves, so please be mindful when getting in and out of the water. Winds could increase this afternoon and make things a quite rough.
