Happy Aloha Friday! Snorkeling conditions around Maui are looking great this morning, with calm waters and excellent visibility in all three zones. Light winds make morning the ideal time to get in the water. Conditions may change later today, with a chance of showers and stronger winds in the afternoon.
Kapalua Bay, Honolua Bay and Napili Bay are looking good this morning with light winds, calm water and clear visibility inside the bays. Afternoon showers and stronger winds are possible. It’s safest to stay within the more protected areas, as currents can become strong near and beyond the points.
Ka’anapali: 8.5
Kahekili Beach Park is looking great this morning, with calm, clear water and light wind. Visibility is excellent, though currents can be strong in deeper areas. The south face of Black Rock is also very clear, but currents pick up near and beyond the point. Winds may increase this afternoon, bringing some clouds and possible showers.
South Shore: 8.5
It’s a beautiful morning with sunshine, light winds, and excellent conditions across the south zone. Kamaole I, II, and III, Ulua Beach, Wailea Beach, and Makena Landing are all looking great this morning. Winds may increase this afternoon, which could lead to choppier water along with some clouds and scattered showers.
