More Maui Parking Guides

There are no bathrooms or outdoor showers at Olowalu, Mile Marker 14 (MM14)—this spot is 100% rustic. However, Olowalu is one of our favorite “pull-up-and-plunge” snorkeling spots along the Honoapiʻilani Highway (Hwy 30).

Plan a quick pit stop in Lahaina or at the Olowalu fruit stands before heading out. Park on the hard-packed sand shoulder of Highway 30 at MM14. Tuck your valuables out of sight, throw on your rash-guard at the car, and you’ll be in the water scouting the 500-year-old “Mother Reef” coral within minutes.

If you’d prefer a free, bathroom-equipped beach instead, swing by Kahekili Beach Park (North Kāʻanapali) or Ulua Beach (Kihei) These excellent snorkeling beaches have showers, and, yep, flush toilets.
