This morning is starting off a bit stormy at most snorkeling beaches. However, Kapalua Bay is offering the calmest conditions. Be sure to check the live cameras and snapshots in the emailed report for more detailed information, including any potential hazards.
Kapalua Bay offers the calmest conditions this morning. We’re starting the day with passing showers and the chance for some sunshine to break through, though more showers may return later. Be cautious of hazardous and strong currents near the outer points of the bay. Always assess conditions before going out.
*Honolua Bay temporarily has no restroom facilities. Please avoid if possible. Do not leave waste in this area.
Ka’anapali: 4.0
The ocean is very stormy this morning at Ka’anapali beaches, including Black Rock and Kahekili (Airport Beach). Unpredictable choppy wind waves are crashing along the shoreline and against Black Rock, creating very dangerous undertow and strong currents. We may see isolated showers with some clearing throughout the day.
South Shore: 3.0
The ocean is really rough this morning on the south shore. Strong southerly winds have brought in choppy wind waves crashing along the shoreline and against the rocks, with larger sets occasionally reaching high onto the shore. Due to last night’s rain, some beaches have brown water from runoff, which may contain pollutants and should be avoided. Isolated showers are expected this morning, but we may see clearing as the day progresses.
