Maui skies should clear, though scattered showers may return at times. Winds may shift several times throughout the day. Please keep in mind that currents are strong farther from shore, and enjoy nice snorkeling today—see details below.

Northwest: 7.0

Scattered showers this morning may continue on and off throughout the day. When the rain clears, both Kapalua Bay and Honolua Bay should offer good conditions. It’s unlikely to cause murky water, but if it does, please avoid it. Currents are extremely strong farther offshore, near the points and outside the bays.

Ka’anapali: 8.0

Morning clouds should clear soon. While not likely, isolated showers are possible. Kahekili Beach Park should be really nice, though strong currents remain farther offshore. Black Rock’s south face is also looking good, but with some waves and strong currents beyond the tip. Increasing afternoon winds may affect Kahekili later.

South Shore: 7.5

Partly sunny this morning, though clouds are starting to clear. Occasional waves are present but not very big along Kamaole Beaches 1, 2, and 3. Ulua Beach is looking good, and Makena Landing should be nice, though waves may start affecting the area. Afternoon winds are expected to increase, bringing choppier conditions later.
