Northwest: 5.0

Strong winds and elevated surf in areas. Inside Honolua Bay, conditions should stay calm and mostly clear. Check from the overlook before driving down. It will be busy today, and this is a fragile ecosystem, so please tread lightly and mālama ʻāina. Kapalua Bay is fairly calm, although waves are surging and currents become strong farther from shore. Seas are incredibly rough outside of these bays.

Ka'anapali: 3.0

It’s a beautiful, mostly sunny day, but the ocean is too rough for snorkeling. Conditions remain extremely hazardous, with powerful waves, strong currents, and undertow. The smallest waves are along the south end of Kahekili Beach, although currents remain strong. Black Rock is especially dangerous. Winds remain strong today as well.

South Shore: 2.0

It’s an absolutely gorgeous beach day, with light wind and sunshine expected all day. Ocean conditions remain extremely hazardous, especially around the Makena and Wailea area. The Kamaole Beaches have somewhat smaller waves, but conditions are still looking rough. If you’re unsure, check with the lifeguards before getting in.
