A beautiful morning on Maui with superb snorkeling

A beautiful morning on Maui with superb snorkeling in all three zones. Winds are expected to remain fairly calm, though there’s always a chance they could increase. Conditions can shift quickly, and the surf may pick up a bit as the day goes on. Keep an eye out and enjoy this stunning day!

Northwest: 8.5

Snorkeling conditions are looking really nice and calm inside the bays. Kapalua Bay and Honolua Bay are pretty much crystal clear. As usual, currents become very strong out near the points and outside of the bays where seas are pretty rough. We’re seeing a mix of clouds and sunshine, with strong winds throughout the day.

*Honolua Bay temporarily has no restroom facilities. Do not leave waste in this area.

Ka’anapali: 8.0

Beautiful conditions this morning with small waves and light winds. Kahekili Beach Park (Airport Beach) is particularly nice, though it could become rough later. The south face of Black Rock is also looking fantastic, but currents become very strong near and beyond the point. Mostly sunny with increasing clouds, wind, and a chance for rising surf later.

South Shore: 7.5

This morning, conditions are wonderful, especially along all three Kamaole beaches, Ulua, and Wailea beaches. Makena Landing is also nice, although the waves are already starting to pick up. The surf will probably rise throughout the day, so keep an eye out. Forecasts are showing light winds now, although they could still increase and make the seas pretty rough later.
