Happy Aloha Friday on Maui! All three Snorkel Zones have areas with beautiful snorkeling conditions!

Northwest: 7.0

Conditions are really nice inside the bays. Kapalua Bay and Honolua Bay are especially calm and clear. Currents remain strong along the points, and seas are rough outside of the bays. They are not very big, but waves have picked up in Napili Bay. A mix of sunshine, clouds, and scattered showers.

Ka’anapali: 8.5

—> Because of ongoing relief efforts, please be extremely mindful in this zone.

Kahekili Beach Park has super calm water and clear visibility. The south face of Black Rock is also excellent. As usual, currents are strong farther out from shore and past the rock tip. Winds should remain favorable for most of the day. There’s only a slight chance that the waves will pick up later. Morning clouds should clear up.

South Shore: 8.0

Winds are calm, and the ocean is smooth this morning. The waves are small, but there are signs they’re starting to pick up. Still, though, the south ends of the Kamaole Beaches, Ulua Beach, and Makena Landing should remain great for snorkeling for much of the day. Mostly sunny with passing clouds and increasing afternoon winds.
