Light winds across Maui, along with mostly small waves, are making for great snorkeling across all three zones. Conditions are looking really good, though they can always change, so it’s important to stay aware. Enjoy the calm water and have a great time exploring!

Northwest: 8.0

Mostly calm and clear water inside the bays, with Kapalua Bay and Honolua Bay particularly inviting this morning. Currents remain strong near the points and outside the bays, as usual. Surf may start to pick up later, so be mindful of any changes. Sunny skies this morning, with clouds increasing in the afternoon.

Ka’anapali: 9.0

Excellent conditions along Kahekili Beach Park, with the south face of Black Rock looking great as well. As usual, currents are strong farther out in deeper water and beyond the point. There’s a chance for waves to pick up later, so it’s good to stay aware. Sunny skies this morning, with the possibility of increasing clouds and shifting winds later in the day.

South Shore: 8.5

Kamaole Beaches, Ulua Beach, Wailea, and Makena Landing have all improved, offering much better snorkeling today. Some areas may still have murky water, so it’s best to check before heading in. While a few spots still have elevated waves, nothing too big has been seen this morning. Surf could pick up later, always keep an eye on conditions. Sunshine is expected for most of the day.
