It is such a beautiful Maui beach day with a mix of conditions, including small south and northwesterly swells. The most sunshine is along the South Shore and Ka’anapali, where winds are also lightest.

Northwest: 6.0

Kapalua Bay is the calmest, though it has slightly elevated waves, with strong currents around the points. Honolua Bay offers some calm water, but there’s a small area of murky water, and conditions are rough out along the point. Napili Bay is seeing some waves and currents along the sides. Winds remain very strong, with potential for passing showers.

Ka’anapali: 7.0

While the waves aren’t necessarily big, they are breaking in areas along the shoreline. If thoughtfully avoided, Kahekili Beach offers good snorkeling opportunities, though currents become strong in deeper water. Black Rock has very strong currents and the most powerful waves. Clouds are expected to pass through then clear up, with sunshine likely, and winds may stay favorable.

South Shore: 6.5

The surf has dropped down a bit and is less consistent, but waves are still breaking. The Kamaole Beaches are looking the calmest and quite pleasant. Ulua Beach is also nice, just keep an eye out and avoid any waves along the shoreline. Currents become very strong farther offshore. Sunshine and lighter winds are expected, though it may get too windy later.
