Northwest: 2.0

It’s a stormy morning with rain and strong winds, and while there’s a chance of some clearing later, clouds will likely stick around. There’s a wind advisory and high surf advisory in effect, with waves over 10 feet and winds nearing 40 mph. Even in typically sheltered spots like Kapalua Bay, conditions are challenging, with very strong currents near the points. Today is not ideal for snorkeling—please stay safe and keep an eye on the weather updates.

Ka’anapali: 7.0

The south side of Black Rock and Kahekili are looking fairly calm this morning, but strong winds are expected to continue throughout the day. A big north and west swell is also building, which could create dangerous ocean conditions. As waves and winds pick up, be mindful of hazardous shore break, undertow, and strong currents, especially near the point of Black Rock and in deeper waters at Kahekili Beach.

South Shore: 7.5

Kamaole 1, 2, and 3, along with Ulua Beach, are looking good this morning. Winds are light now but could strengthen as the day goes on, potentially creating choppy waves and reducing visibility. There’s also a chance of increasing wave activity later in the day, so keep an eye on conditions as they can change at any time.
