Happy Aloha Friday on Maui! Trade winds are returning today, bringing a mix of passing clouds and sunshine along with breezy afternoon winds. Waves have eased but are expected to start picking up out of the south again. There is still a slight chance of scattered showers. As always, conditions can change. Have a wonderful day!

Northwest: 8.5

Passing clouds with breezy winds at times. Conditions are looking great inside the bays, with Kapalua Bay and Honolua Bay especially calm this morning. Currents remain strong near and beyond the points. Napili is still seeing a bit of wave action, which may increase later. Please remember to pack out trash, be mindful of others, and mālama ʻāina.

Ka'anapali: 8.0

Surf has eased, though it may start to build again. The south face of Black Rock is looking really nice this morning, with clear water, strong currents remain near and beyond the point. Kahekili is excellent early, it could get a bit bumpy as winds pick up this afternoon. Expect mostly sunny skies with some clouds increasing later.

South Shore: 7.5

Beautiful sunshine and light winds this morning. Waves are a bit smaller than yesterday, though they'll probably start picking up again. The smallest waves are along all three Kamaole Beaches and Ulua Beach. Makena Landing may still be a good. Wailea Beach has higher surf. Always assess conditions and avoid any waves or murky water.
