It is a beautiful and breezy day on Maui with a mix of conditions. A Wind Advisory Is in effect with gusts up to 50 miles per hour in the windiest areas. The South Shore and parts of Ka'anapali are still looking really nice. See details below and have a lovely day!

Northwest: 3.5

Extremely strong winds and dangerous waves and currents in areas. Passing clouds with scattered showers possible. The innermost area of Kapalua Bay has the smallest waves, though currents become extremely strong if you swim out just a little too far..

Ka'anapali: 7.0

Mostly sunny and windy. The south face of Black Rock should have a nice pocket of calmer water, though currents are very strong near and beyond the point. Kahekili is more exposed to the wind, with stronger currents and a bit of rough water. It could settle a bit before becoming rough again later. There’s a slight chance of clouds drifting down from the mountains.

South Shore: 8.0

South Kihei’s Kamaole beaches through Ulua Beach in Wailea down to Makena Landing are looking really nice and calm this morning. Winds may stay relatively light, though it will probably get a little choppy later and could still become very rough this afternoon. Sunshine is expected. The far north and far south ends of the zone are extremely windy and rough.
