Maui’s Kaʻanapali and the South Shore have the smallest waves and great conditions this morning. We have a good chance of passing rain showers by this afternoon, and afternoon winds will make seas rough in areas. Please remember to avoid waves and murky water, and always reassess before heading out.

Northwest: 3.5

Kapalua Bay has the smallest waves, though occasional powerful sets are still possible and currents become strong quickly if you swim out too far. Honolua Bay is rough along the point, with surging waves making the rocky entry tricky. The First Responder & Military Honolua Classic surf competition is running here today! Showers are likely later, and winds may increase.

Ka'anapali: 8.5

Excellent conditions along Kahekili and the south face of Black Rock this morning, with mostly small surf. Currents remain strong out near and beyond the point. Keep an eye out as there could be elevated waves at times. Showers are expected to drift through this afternoon. Winds will probably make Kahekili rough later on as well.

South Shore: 7.5

Waves are up a bit and may kick up some sand. Kamaole 1, 2, and 3 are looking pretty good. Ulua Beach and Makena Landing have potential but waves are more prevalent. Winds are calm early, though this afternoon will likely get rough. Passing showers are expected at some point. Always avoid waves and any murky water.
