It’s a lovely Saturday morning in Maui, with excellent visibility to kick off the day. While strong winds are anticipated later, this morning offers exceptional snorkeling conditions. Rain could be on the horizon as clouds move in, so be sure to check the live beach cameras before heading out.

Northwest: 7.5

Kapalua Bay has calm waters and good visibility in its inner section. Surf has picked up slightly at Honolua Bay, but conditions within the Bay are still decent. Napili Bay has small waves that may become rougher as the tide rises. Outside the bays and near the points, strong winds are causing rougher conditions. Rain showers may develop as clouds continue to gather.

*Honolua Bay temporarily has no restroom facilities. Do not leave waste in this area.

Ka’anapali: 8.5

Snorkeling is fantastic this morning at both Kahekili Beach Park and Black Rock. Kahekili may become too rough later as winds pick up and become strong. The south side of Black Rock should offer better protection from the wind. There will be a mix of sun and clouds with a chance of rain today.

South Shore: 7.5
