Conditions across Maui have improved to offer favorable snorkeling conditions! Ka'anapali and the Northwest Zones are particularly ideal today, with the South Shore also presenting nice areas for snorkeling.

Northwest: 7.5

The waves are small, and conditions are calm inside the bays. Kapalua Bay and Honolua Bay are especially tranquil. Currents remain strong in some areas, particularly outside the bays, around the points, and beyond. Lingering isolated showers should clear up, and winds are expected to calm down for most of the day.

Ka’anapali: 8.0

—> Because of ongoing relief efforts, please be extremely mindful in this zone.

Snorkeling conditions are excellent today. The waves are small, and it appears the winds will stay calm for most of the day. Kahekili Beach Park is calm and is expected to improve further as the sun rises. While isolated showers are possible, we anticipate mostly sunny skies.

South Shore: 6.5

It's a bit rough early this morning with some elevated waves and a slightly bumpy surface, but conditions are expected to improve as the tide lowers this afternoon, although the wind may become an issue later. Currently, the south ends of the Kamaole Beaches and Makena Landing are the calmest. Ulua Beach will likely improve by early afternoon at lower tide.
